Veteran's Day Parade!

Every year Lily's school does a Veteran's Day Parade the Friday before Veteran's Day.  This year I helped Lily's class make their shirts!  They turned out super cute!  This year the parade was combined with the Junior High and was outside!!!  We had a great time watching the parade!

We love Veteran's Day.  We have had family members serve in different Military branches.  I love that we get to talk with our kids about those great men and women in our family and in our country that choose to fight for us!  Last year Lily took a picture of her Uncle Stevie, my younger brother Steven, to school and shared why she thinks he is a hero!  This year her class made posters and she drew a picture of her Uncle Stevie saluting with the words, I Love you!  What a special tribute to her Uncle who she is so proud of!  As we all are!

Denver Museum of Nature and Science

During the kid's Fall break, we went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science!  We had a great time spending the day in the museum.  They have a new exhibit about whales which was really fun and cool to see!  Then of course we had to go to the Discovery Zone and the dinosaurs.  We also went to the Ancient Egypt display.  The kids were so fascinated by mummys!  A great day of fun and learning!

Lexi chilling with a smile like always!

Drumming!  The kids had so much fun drumming with different types of drums and learning about where they came from.

Some Halloween Fun!

We have been having some fun with our Halloween costumes this year!  We chose to do the Incredibles!  The kids dressed up for Lily's school Trunk or Treat.  Then Logan got to dress up for his school party.  We went to Boo at the Zoo but missed Daddy.  All of us went to the Ward Trunk or Treat and then to a friends party.  We also all dressed up and went out Trick-or-Treating on Halloween!  We have gotten a lot of complements on our costumes!  Here is a taste of what we have done!
 Violet

 Dash
Jack Jack or in our case Jackie Jackie!
Lily's teacher and all the other first grade teachers dressed up as the Ninja Turtles!  They were great!

We also had our Ward Harvest Festival!  We had a great time with our friends the Torres family!  We had yummy food, played carnival games, watched Daddy in a pie eating contest, and I won the dessert contest with yummy Apple Caramel Cheesecake bars!  So fun!

After the activity, Logan went to help Daddy clean up the chairs!  I was so proud that he wanted to help!  Such a sweet little boy!

Logan's Preschool Parade!
Logan had a great time doing a Halloween costume parade with his preschool!  He is having a blast this year in preschool and learning so much!

We went to the store and they had this huge squash on display!  it weighed 888lbs!  It was grown here in Colorado so we had to take a picture!  Can you tell Logan wanted to?!!

BOO AT THE ZOO!  This a favorite tradition for the kids!  Last year we missed it and they were sad.

Because TJ wasn't able to come, he had to do some studying for an exam before he had to go to a triathlon for his scouts, Logan only wanted to walk with Jorge!  They had a lot of fun together!

The Ward Trunk-or-Treat!  Our Bishop LOVED the costumes!  He thought we needed to have this be our Christmas card!

We went to Nick's Garden center to pick out our pumpkins this year.  We ran out of time to go to a pumpkin patch.  We still had a great time!  The kids got to pick out pumpkins, go through a hay bale maze and run around in the nice 70 degree weather!

When Daddy got home, we carved our pumpkins so they would be ready for the next day, Halloween!  Lexi wasn't quite sure what to think!

And after all the Halloween fun, the kids have enjoyed their haul of candy!
